“up and down, up and down…” so it isn’t just English roads then.
Did a 25km loop today then spent an hour or so in the gym. Spent most of it getting to know my way round, the equipment here is quite different to the one on campus.
This year is over, we had our last group ride the other day. Now I’m looking ahead to the coming weeks back at home and how not to waist them. My main aim is to train become a better cyclist and I’v thought out some goals that I hope will help me achieveĀ that;
1) Do at least 1 ride a day. To improve my stamina and overall fitness.
2) Look out for local races. For general racing practice and keep me motivated.
3) Gym 3 times a week and eat more. I could do with weighing 10kg more.
4) keep a record of what I’ve done so I can see my progress.
I might make these into a more concrete program later on but for now I’m going to see how I get along.
training
I’d nearly forgotten we said this but apparently Liam didn’t. He had an exam the other day and said he went through with it. Harry’s start to day and he promises to get photographic evidence. I just love that we’re still getting fun out of our bikes in the middle of the end of years!
Trainings kinda been put on hold this week, end of year exams star on Monday so I’ve been putting more effort into preparing for them. Not that I haven’t done some just not in any structure or significant amount. I’ll be back on it though like a hawk when the holidays start ;)
Just cycle team banter
Really enjoyed yesterday, so great to be in such cool atmosphere with so many other dedicated cyclists. So proud of Liam, Harry and Tom for all geting such good potions, even I didn’t do that badly ;). The evening, having the hostel to our selths and a couple of ciders each was Standard! Classic Team bonding/general assing around ensued, in tillĀ the obligatory 3:00am philosophical debate. I’m so up for the next national race :D
Harry has convinced us all to ware our team bib shorts to the end of year exams. apparently the rowing crews at other unis do the same with their leotards and we are way more hardcore than the rowers!!!
